Sean said, "You know that I just don't have time to read everything you post, right, Jill? [...] I mean, not all the links." In consideration of the fact that not everyone has my schedule (what?!? I know.) I'll just post quick little summaries of what each page is. You can click on the interesting-sounding ones.
First of all: The KFC "Family Meal" Challange. This guy beat it and actually saved $2-3 off of the $10.some odd change KFC charges. And it's healthier and the chicken he uses "was far from the free-range, organic, local chicken [he] would normally use, but it was hormone-free from a network of family farms and faced nowhere near the cruel conditions suffered by KFC's chickens." So, kudos.
This is a cool series of cards/paintings of Americans Who Tell The Truth. They consist of a painted portrait and a quote or short description of their greatness floating around their heads. When you click on a card it takes you to a short article that tells you about what that person did for his or her country.
Thanksgiving is coming up fast! and people are beginning to think turkey. This person asks what sort of turkey is best. The answer: not the BBW (Broad-Breasted White). They talk about how the turkey is a genetic mutant and how it can't procreate without serious help; because it's so top heavy with those ginormous breasts it has to be artificially inseminated. This got me thinking: Ew! I don't want to consume some rotund turkey that can't even function as was G-d-intended! That's just gross! I mean, barnyard animals do only a handful of things in their lives: eat, sleep, and procreate. Domesticated animals are led on walks and played with and have more interesting lives, but animals bred for consumption basically have three things to look forward to AND THE POOR GENETIC MUTANTS CAN'T EVEN DO THAT. Whatever, I just have this image of balloon-like turkey breasts on legs wobbling around a cage. Oh, and since they're bred for bustiness, the turkey's are dumber than a doorknob. The really interesting bits about this article, i think, are the comments after it. A lot of people on the site just wish a Green Thanksgiving goes all the way into vegitarian/vegan territory, while others acknowledge that, to quote some person, thanksgiving IS turkey.
I'm, personally, more of a fish person than fowl person, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Get it? can of worms?? haha.
"Gynomorph - the hormone that will gradually turn you into a dude. Which is good, because when men take hormones, it just makes them better at baseball."
This is so handy!!!! Having a hard time finding the right rhyme? HAHA! it works and i didn't even use it! ...
Anyways: Write rhymes. You type out your wanna-be poem, then alt-click the word you want to rhyme with and it gives you all these choices! It even breaks it down by syllables! 2-3-4 syllables, and so on.
Oh, snap. G-d loves everyone after all! What now!? (no description; it's a billboard, so see for yourself.)
