The Inauguration of Barack Obama, on CNBC

Tasha and I are facing down the TV together as this lady in a bright red blazer talks about how Obama will have to face down something significantly different - the economy. C'MON YOU GUYS! Can we please just be happy right now? Let the world go to hell in a handbasket tomorrow; today, we party.
45 minutes to go before Obama comes into office!
Oh look - it's old mr. bush, sr. hobbling down the carpet with a cane. He and the mrs. are wearing matching scarves! Awwwww. Hey, cool, Carters and Clintons getting cuddly (I needed another hard C sound. You understand.). Hillary looks stunning in a royal blue, by the way.
Yeah, I switched to CNN because the guys at CNBC talk waaay too much.
The Bush's are so old. And slow. But it's cute.
Aaaaand now, the 42nd president and his Senator are announced. They look great. Bills wearing a pale yellow shirt, the collar peaking up over his smart black coat. Hillary is, as I said before, in a
You know who I'm really excited to see? Aretha Franklin. Maaaan, oh man.
Haha, Gore is lurking behind Clinton's head.
AAAAAW Sasha and Malia look so cuuuuuute! Their grandmother is leading them out right now. First Lady Bush and Mrs. Cheney are walking out. They look happy, too. Mrs. C looks especially cosy in that big fur collar. Tres chic. Oh! did you hear that VP Cheney pulled his back out when they were moving? He's fine. If you know your history, you know that evil doesn't die easily. I mean, it took the Romanovs how many attempts to off Rasputin? Anyway, he'll arrive in a wheelchair apparently.
ARETHA! She looks fantastic. She's wearing this great grey hat with a huge bow.
Michelle. Looks. Fabulous. She's in this yellow, sparkly outfit and it works. She's walking out with Mrs. Biden right now. Oh my gosh, her gloves are yellow, too.
And now - President Bush. Haha, he just high-fived someone.
No one's letting Michelle sit down; everyone wants to shake those yellow gloves.
It's 1134 a.m. ...We're running a little slow. Cheney's being wheeled out.
The Pres. and his entourage were just announced. Smiling, hand-shaking, etc.
Biden! He's so smiley. He's up next to be introduced. He and George W. are both wearing black and white with a blue tie. Oh noes! governmental fashion faux pas!
Smilin' Biden is introduced and greets everybody up there for the next four thousand years.
Obama is sauntering. That's the only word that truly fits. He's got this little smile thing goin' on and he's sauntering. He may or may not faint.
And here we go. It's 1141 and Barack Obama is stiiiiill slowly walking.
Video of Barack Obama walking.
FINALLY! The introduction. The guy who's giving the intro's has a crazy voice. You know who they should have gotten? The guy who did Mufasa's voice in The Lion King. What's his name? James Earl Jones! Yeah, next time they should get him.
...And the crowd goes wild. Yes! Hugs all around! Oop! Sean's calling. And Doni called my cell at the exact same time.
HE'S SO CHILL!
Rick Warren takes the stage.
OK, so I didn't cry until Aretha started sing...
Jo-Jo Jolly's swearing in now. The Justice swearing him in is super old. Everybody's kissing everybody now.
Yo-Yo Ma and his homies are playing while the clock strikes noon and Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States.
Obama is sworn in, kisses and hugs, and begins to talk.
"We will extend a hand if you will unclench your fist"
"Required of us now is a new era of responsibility"
Elizabeth Alexander takes the stage and breathes into the mic. "Say it plain/That many have died for this day."
ok, i'm going to stop and just watch now.
