item number one: a few months ago, i organized all my books according to color. people thought i was crazy, but the end result was gorg. ...even if it didn't really last long - i have the worst time putting things back where i found them. and then, today, i was surfing the interwebs and found this delightful picture. it reminded me of how awesome my book case could become all over again! this time, it'll stay that way. (it's also a great example of why i don't think painted or papered walls are necessary - just line the wall with book shelves and save yourself time and money! ta da!)
item number two: I got it! I got the job! Lori called while I was serendipitously listening to "The Lady Business Edition" on 8tracks and asked if i was willing to accept their job offer. Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 blared in the background as i all but screamed Yeah, Baby! so, there's that. thanks for all the prayers and sackcloth+ashes fasting that i'm sure you all did for me.
item number three: the weather here continues charmingly. that's a bald-faced lie. it's dipping into the 40s! the 40s!! i wouldn't be complaining at all, but it's too early to be turning on the furnace (even though mom broke the seal this morning and cranked it before everyone left for work/school) and i can't light a huge fire because all of our wood is wet! stupid rain i would no doubt be enjoying if not for the wet wood. oh well. rain will be rain. and i have a job!
item number four: i made this awesome halloween mix on 8tracks. if you love halloween, or me, for that matter, you will check it out. if you don't listen to it, don't bother coming home; i've changed the locks. (it's not as serious as all that; i'm just playing. but seriously, it's really good.)
