another day, another dollar

actually, that's not true; there's no money in it for me. today, i vacuumed and washed floors and baked an apple crisp, all for free. well, "free." I suppose i am 20 years old, living with my parents, not paying rent and getting several meals a day. I also get free access to the cat, so that's awesome. she really loves these area rugs we put down - one in the kitchen, one in the study. she pounces on the bumps and claws at them furiously. it's hilarious.
yesterday was my 4yr. anniversary with Sean. we skyped while drinking tea. i ate some cookies dad made (dark chocolate chip with 4a.m. Buzz coffee grinds mixed in - soo goood). we tried to watch Arrested Development on hulu by hitting the play button at exactly the same time, but it never worked. it is hard! it was always just. a. bit. off. We ended up just talking. it was nice actually being able to see each other. he played me some songs on his guitar. it was very romantic. i giggled more than is good for my health, snorting every once in a while. he continued to pretend that i entrigue him on some level. and in this way, we move forward into a bright new future. he's so good.
it's banned book week! ...that's all i have to say about that. go read a book or something. enjoy the fact that you can. i mean, this is america, for pete's sake. (a list of banned or challanged books - just to give you some place to get started)
oh, i have a second interview this wednesday @noon. so...begin fasting, like, now. i'm talking old testament fasting. sackclothes and soot, people; i need this job.
